More information about The Phone Box, Shrewsbury: We are an independent mobile phone and accessories business, run by sisters Katie and Lucie. We have been trading for over ten years and have had our shop in Bellstone, Shrewsbury since September 2000. Although our shop is very small hence the name The Phone ‘Box’ we’ve found that it’s a feature that the majority of our customers like as it enables us to provide a specialised and personal service. We have very strong values about offering an excellent personal service with an emphasis on value for money. We already have a large customer base which is mainly made up of word of mouth recommendations. As more and more people now have mobile phones the demand for accessories continues to grow, especially items like car chargers which we sell for £4.99 and cases to protect from scratches, which start from £3.99. We also sell a lot of batteries and do many repairs for people who like the mobile phone they are using and don’t want the hassle and expense of changing to a new and often more complicated model. We find a large number of our customers live in rural areas and we often get telephone orders from people who we post items to. Just over a year ago we decided to expand on this and now supply a range of our accessories in a number of other shops around Shropshire and Mid Wales. So far we supply convenience stores in Acton Burnell, Baschuch, Chirk, Church Stretton, Ellesmere, Glyn Ceiriog, Knighton, Ludlow, Madeley, Minsterely, Muxton, Newtown, Shifnal, Sundorne in Shrewsbury and Weston Rhyn. We intend to continue to expand the number of shops we supply as we’ve found that customers like the convenience of being able to go to their local store to buy our products.
