Shrewsbury's 6-Day Park and Ride Service
Park & Ride in Shrewsbury operates from three sites. All of these sites have closed circuit television in the car parks for your vehicle's security.
Park & Ride sites can be found at:
- Oxon Business Park
- Meole Brace Retail Park
- Harlescott, near Tesco
Cycle parking is available at the Meole Brace and Oxon Park & Ride sites.
All buses have special low floor access at the front and are ideal for parents with pushchairs and people who are less mobile. Buses also have a ramp to enable access for wheelchair users.
Service details Monday to Saturday express buses from all sites to the town centre run every 10 minutes.
Times from car park The first bus is at 7.30am Monday to Friday and 8am on Saturday, with the last bus departing the car parks at 6.10pm.
Times from town centre The first bus is at 7.40am Monday to Friday and 8.10am on Saturday, with the last bus departing the town centre at 6.30pm.
The car park closes after the arrival of the last bus from the town centre at approximately 6.40pm.
Route description The service stops in town centre, railway station, Castle Street, Dogpole, High Street, Shoplatch, Barker Street and Chester Street. Frankwell Island is served by the Oxon service only and a stop on Old Potts Way is served by the Meole Brace service only.
Fare details Free all day parking. Return bus fare only £1.00* Accompanied children under 16 years free (Lost ticket fee - £2.00)
Walker fare People who wish to use the Park & Ride service but choose to walk to one of the three sites to catch the bus, and not drive, will be charged a 'walker' fare of £2.00 return.
Student discount The return fare is 50p for students of Shrewsbury 6th Form College or Shrewsbury High School aged 16 or over. Students must show a valid student identification card from their college in order to get the discounted fare.
Season tickets £4.00* per week, £15.00* per month Pay on the bus to give you unlimited travel between the car park and the town centre. Smart rider tickets £1.50* One day's unlimited travel on all Park & Ride services. Ten tripper tickets £8.00* 10 return trips between the car park and the town centre. Valid for three months. Available from the driver.
