Mad Jacks Restaurant And Bar
The inspiration for the name Mad Jack’s has come from the local 18th century squire Jack Mytton an accomplished horseman who is legendary in the area for his rather eccentric antics. He squandered his fortune and ended up in a pauper’s jail following a life of heavy drinking and riotous behaviour…some of these antics are portrayed in the art work around the restaurant.
Enjoying a town centre location in a beautiful old building, Mad Jack’s is a quality restaurant offering fresh seasonally inspired food with the emphasis on sourcing quality ingredients and wherever possible getting these from local suppliers.
Food is served all day every day, truly something for everyone!
Relax for morning coffee or afternoon tea with home-made cakes and catch up with the days papers.
Pop in for a glass of champagne or a cocktail accompanied by Chefs nibbles.
Enjoy a delicious lunch or dinner selected from a range of seasonal dishes including the specials of the day.
On Saturday’s dinner is served from a weekly changing 3 course selection.
For Sundays the kitchen prepares a lovely 3 course lunch in addition to the seasonal menu.
As well as the stylish bar and restaurant guests can also dine or take drinks in the lovely setting of the courtyard.
Private Dining is available by arrangement.
Many restaurants take years to perfect their dishes, hone their style and cement their reputation. But within weeks of opening, Mad Jack’s restaurant in Shrewsbury has already staked its claim as one of the best eateries in the county town. That may seem an ambitious claim to make, especially given the high quality of the town’s numerous restaurants, but the new establishment has already made a significant impact on diners.
